Checked before it’s sold
Every bike is gone over and made ready to ride. If we wouldn’t ride it ourselves, we don’t sell it.

A good bike you can actually afford: checked over, ready to ride, and yours to try before you pay a penny.

“I only sell good quality bikes.”
New bikes cost a fortune. So you end up scrolling through listings from strangers, squinting at photographs, trying to work out whether the gears are shot or the wheels are buckled, and whether it is safe to put your child on. Buy the wrong one and you have spent good money on something that needs more money spending on it, or that sits in the shed because nobody trusts it.
Every bike is gone over and made ready to ride. If we wouldn’t ride it ourselves, we don’t sell it.
Come and see it in Bideford. Take it up the road. Change your mind if it isn’t right. We’d rather that than an unhappy buyer.
Every bike carries its own price, plainly. No haggling games, and nothing dressed up as a bargain that isn’t one.
Simpson’s Bikes is Moses’s business. He started it himself at eight years old, and he has been mad about bikes since his first BMX. His dad Leo does the driving, the paperwork and the phone, the parts an eight-year-old cannot do, and between them they only take on bikes worth having, every one checked before it goes out.
We’re local. You know where we are, you can ring us afterwards, and we would rather sell you nothing today than sell you the wrong bike.

Everyone should be able to afford a good bike. That’s the whole idea behind Simpson’s Bikes.
A bike that works properly gets ridden. It gets someone to work and back, or a child out with their friends all summer. That shouldn’t depend on having hundreds of pounds spare. Here, it doesn’t.
Stock changes most weeks. If you don’t see what you’re after, ring us. We often have bikes before they go online, and we’ll keep an eye out for you.
