Buying a bike at the moment

We don’t take payment through this website yet. Call or text us on 07411 282588, come and see the bike, and pay in person if you want it. The rest of this page explains how it will work when online payment opens.

Prices

The price shown on each bike is the full price you pay. There is no VAT to add and no booking fee. Each bike is sold as it is described on its own page.

Reserving a bike

A bike is reserved with a deposit of 30% of its price — so £15 on a £50 bike. The exact amount is shown on the bike’s own page before you pay. Once the deposit is paid we take the bike off sale and hold it for you, and the rest of the price is paid when you collect it.

Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.

Collection

Bikes are collected in person in Bideford, by arrangement — we’ll ring or text you to sort out a time. We don’t post bikes. There is no shop to walk into.

Have a proper look when you collect it, and a ride up the road. If it isn’t what you expected, don’t take it — we’ll refund your deposit there and then.

Changing your mind

Because you are buying online, you can cancel within 14 days without giving a reason. The 14 days run from the day you get the bike. If you cancel, we refund what you have paid, including the deposit.

If you have already collected the bike, bring it back to us within 14 days of telling us. You are responsible for returning it. Please look after it in the meantime — if it comes back damaged or worn beyond a normal look-over, we may reduce the refund to reflect that.

We refund within 14 days of getting the bike back, by the way you paid.

If something is wrong with the bike

Your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 apply on top of everything above. A bike has to match how we described it and be satisfactory quality for a second-hand bike of that age and price. We describe every fault we know about on the bike’s page, so please read it. If something turns out to be wrong, tell us and we’ll put it right.

Selling us your bike

These terms cover buying from us. If you are selling a bike to us, just call or text — nothing here applies.

Complaints

Ring us. We are a small family business and we would much rather sort a problem out than have you stuck with a bike you are unhappy with.
