Our story

How it started

Simpson’s Bikes started with Moses — an 8-year-old in Bideford who’s always been mad about bikes. He started out with a BMX, then started collecting, and now he knows bike brands better than most adults do. Moses decided he wanted to build his own bike business, and Simpson’s Bikes is it. His dad helps out with the driving and the admin side of things, and in time his brothers will be getting stuck in too.

The standard we work to

We only take on bikes in good condition — nothing that’s past it, nothing that’s going to cause problems. Every bike is checked and made ready to ride, whatever it sells for. If we wouldn’t ride it ourselves, we don’t sell it.

Why we do it

A good bike shouldn’t cost a fortune. We think everyone should be able to afford one, so we sell good second-hand bikes at prices people across North Devon can actually afford.
